LIMA — The Lima Noon Sertoma Club will hold its 65th annual pancake day from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, in the parking lot of Lima Senior High School, 1 Spartan Way, Lima. Blueberry pancakes and sausage will be offered. Admission is $8 pre-sale and $9 at the door.
Last year, more than 2,000 pancake breakfasts were sold. Due to COVID-19, the Sertoma Club members socially distanced volunteers and changed the pancake day to a drive-through-only event.
“Even in this time, I think people are still looking to be a part of something, to be a part of the community and looking for stuff to do. Pancake Day has been (going on) for 60-plus years, an event for families for multiple generations,” said Adam Rector, who was a co-organizer for the Nov. 7, 2020, event.
This year’s event is also for drive-through patrons only. Enter from Jackson Street.

The lecture will consider how striving for monetary rewards alone is not fulfilling.
Grab & Go Art: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at ArtSpace/Lima, 65 Town Square, Lima. Healthy Love 365, sexual violence prevention in Black community via Crime Victim Services.
Rhodes State Fall Preview: 9:30-11:30 a.m. Friday on the Rhodes State campus, 4240 Campus Drive, Lima. This event is for prospective students. There will be opportunities to talk about academic programs, financial aid and the admissions process. There will be an optional tour of the Borra Health Sciences center at noon. Downtown Historic Tour: Noon Saturday at the Delphos Canal Museum, 241 N. Main St., Delphos. The tour is free and will last 60-90 minutes.
Historic downtown buildings and sites will be visited and stories of past events will be shared.

Mental Health First Aid Training: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Bluffton Presbyterian Church, 112 N. Main St., Bluffton. The training is free and open to all community members, including high school and college students and faith leaders.

Due to COVID-19, the event will be drive-through only. The line will form along the church on Kill Road. Dinner includes homemade sauerkraut and sausage, mashed potatoes, pancakes, applesauce and pie.
Water for People discussion with Alloway CEO John Hoffman: 2 p.m. Sunday at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 233 W. College Ave., Bluffton.
Hoffman will tell the story about people in underdeveloped countries who have benefitted from access to clean drinking water.
